Herkimer County Court sentenced a Little Falls man to state prison Wednesday for drug charges.
District Attorney Jeffrey Carpenter announced in a news release that John Sterusky, 45, was sentenced to 1.5 years in state prison with one-year post release supervision for his conviction of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Sterusky was arrested on March 10, 2012, after an investigation by Little Falls police that resulted in a search warrant on the defendant’s residence, according to Carpenter.
In addition to the prison sentence, Sterusky was fined $2,500 and forfeited seized assets.
Sterusky is currently being held at the Herkimer County jail to await transportation to state prison.
