ST. JOHNSVILLE, N.Y. — Devan Battisti scored in the final minute of regulation play Wednesday and the Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville Wolves snatched a 2-1 victory against Galway.
Oppenheim-Ephratah-St. Johnsville (2-2-1) had led 1-0 at halftime but Galway pulled even with a Taylor Hartman goal in the second half. The teams remained deadlocked until Battisti’s shot crossed the goal line with 36 seconds left on the clock.
Dylan Klock had scored in the first half for the Wolves who are unbeaten in their last three matches after losing their first two. Goalkeeper Nate Trumble made five saves. Triston Engle contributed an assist.
The Wolves’ match Friday against Duanesburg has been rescheduled for Sept. 28. They will next play Monday at Berne-Knox-Westerlo.
MT. MARKHAM 3, REMSEN 0
REMSEN, N.Y. — Mike Gras made five saves and Kris Pontero was in on each of the goals Wednesday in the Mt. Markham’s Mustangs’ 3-0 shutout of the Remsen Rams.
Pontero scored two goals and assisted on the third for the Mustangs who led 2-0 at halftime. Davide Delia scored the other goal and assisted on one of Pontero’s.
Sebastian Bullard made 10 saves for Remsen.
Mt. Markham takes on Cooperstown Friday at home.
SHERBURNE-EARLVILLE 2, CENTRAL VALLEY ACADEMY 1
SHERBURNE, N.Y. — The Sherburne-Earlville Marauders scored twice before halftime Wednesday and held on to defeated Central Valley Academy 2-1.
Danny Galvez and Kevin Vibbard scored for the Marauders who led 2-0 at halftime and Keith Rose made a single save in the win.
Xavier Rowe had a goal in the second half for the Thunder and Clay Colburn made seven saves.
Central Valley Academy next plays Monday at Frankfort-Schuyler.
FRANKLIN 4, RICHFIELD SPRINGS 0
RICHFIELD SPRINGS, N.Y. — Franklin scored twice in the opening eight minutes Wednesday and defeated the Richfield Springs Indians 4-0.
Gabe Latoraca tallied a goal 3:03 into the contest and Derek Beers followed with a goal 4 1/2 minutes later. Nate Moon added two goals, one late in the first half and another midway through the second.
Billy Davis made four saves in the shutout for Franklin while Trenton Dykstra had seven for the Indians who were outshot 13-7.
Richfield Springs will play the second half of a homecoming doubleheader against Schenevus Saturday afternoon. The girls play first at 11 a.m. with the boys’ match set to start at 1 p.m.
HOLLAND PATENT 8, FRANKFORT-SCHUYLER 0
FRANKFORT, N.Y. — Eric Miller had a hat trick for Holland Patent in Wednesday’s 8-0 win over the Frankfort-Schuyler Maroon Knights.
Nicholas Finn had a goal and an assist to go with Miller’s three goals. Miller finished the game playing goal for the Golden Knights, making three saves while Mason Herkel played the field. Herkel, who had two saves, added a goal, as did Jessie Krutz, Garrett Bortiatynski and Garrett Conley.

WESTMORELAND 8, LITTLE FALLS 0
LITTLE FALLS, N.Y. — Three Bulldogs scored multiple goals Wednesday in Westmoreland’s 8-0 win over the Little Falls Mounties.
Nick Drake had three goals and an assist for the Bulldogs, Erik Harris had two and two and Andrew Zimmerman scored two goals. Josh Drake added a goal and two assists while Zach Dunning made two saves.
Cole Douglas had 19 saves for Little Falls.
The Mounties play Friday evening in Herkimer.
MAYFIELD 4, FORT PLAIN 0
FORT PLAIN, N.Y. — The Mayfield Panthers did all of their scoring in the second half of Wednesday’s 4-0 win against Fort Plain’s Hilltoppers.
Josh Ivancic had a goal and an assist for Mayfield and Todd Briggs, Matthew Messina and James Winsman each scored a goal. Lucas VanNostrand made seven saves in the shutout.
Robert Thomas was credited with three saves for the Hilltoppers.
Fort Plain plays at home Friday against Berne-Knox-Westerlo.
SARATOGA CATHOLIC 3, CANAJOHARIE 0
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. — Liam Rice had a pair of goals for Saratoga Catholic Wednesday in the Saints’ 3-0 win over Canajoharie’s Cougars.
Saratoga Catholic goalkeeper Joe Schmidt made nine saves in the shutout. Like Spicer scored one goal and had an assist.
Zachary Young made five saves for Canajoharie.
