  • State police say a trooper has suffered minor injuries after his patrol vehicle collided with a town highway department dump truck on a rural central New York road.
Police say Trooper Shane Peters was driving on a road in the Oneida County town of Lee around 3 p.m. Wednesday when he stopped at an intersection, then rolled forward into the intersection because of limited sight distance.
Troopers say Peters’ vehicle hit a Town of Lee highway department dump truck.
Peters was treated at Oneida Healthcare and released. The dump truck driver wasn’t injured.
Police say their investigation into the crash is continuing.
