Sherburne-Earlville Middle and High Schools were evacuated at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday for the second time in a week due to a bomb threat, according to a robocall made to student families by Superintendent Gayle Hellert.
The building was cleared by police, Hellert said.
Students, who had been evacuated to the football stadium, were able to return to the school for their belonging before dismissal.
“While at the stadium, I let the students know that this was very serious and that they are losing instructional time,” said Hellert who asked parents to stress the same message.
The schools were also evacuated last Thursday around 1 p.m. after a bomb threat was found scrawled on the wall of a boy’s bathroom.
