Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare’s Regional Rehabilitation Center will offer “Becoming More Confident with Wound Care: Part III,” an educational course for physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech language pathologists and students in related fields, on Thursday, Sept. 19.
It will take place at 5 p.m. in the Community Room at St. Luke’s Home in the Center for Rehabilitation and Continuing Care Services on the St. Luke’s campus, 1650 Champlin Ave., Utica.
Kenneth D. Murphy, MD, an interventional radiologist with Radiology Associates of New Hartford, will discuss minimally invasive treatments for patients with claudicatio, rest pain and ulcers.
Also, new options for patients who have critical limb issues will be reviewed.
New York State Continuing Education Units will be provided for all physical therapists and physical therapy assistants.
Occupational therapists and certified occupational therapy assistants are welcome to attend and will receive a certificate of participation to submit to the appropriate organizations to receive credit.
