It’s time to think of AWANA again.
In May the blue team, headed by Pat and Kate Wolfe and Corky Luppino, along with club members Aimee DeCarr, Julia Perkins, Alex Perkins, Victoria Murray, C.J. Griffin and Kristina Richards, were each awarded a free pass to Water Safari in Old Forge that they used this summer, where they went as a group. They earned this privilege as being the team with the most points in AWANA.
AWANA of Little Falls will kick off its 2013 - 2014 club year by hosting a registration and parent and guardian information night on Sept. 15 at Mohawk Valley Christian Academy on 156 W. Monroe St. in Little Falls. The night and will be specifically for the Cubbie, Sparks and TNT groups and will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the gym with registration, followed by an informational meeting, which will precede a small group session time
Refreshments will be provided and the night will close no later than 6:30 p.m.
AWANA offers groups for Cubbies, three and four year olds, Sparks, grades K to 2, and TNT, grades 3 to 6. The groups will meet weekly on Sunday nights from 4:15 to 6:30 p.m. at the MVCA in Little Falls from Sept. 15 through May 4, 2014. The youth program offers fun and growth, as well as competition, for each grade level through a unique game time, large group time and handbook time. Snacks are provided each week.
A new group this year, Trek, will welcome seventh and eighth grade students, and Double Edge, or DE, will continue for students in grades 9 to 12. These groups will also kick off on Sept. 15 and will meet at the Little Falls Family YMCA or the First Baptist Church in Little Falls beginning at 4:30 p.m. each Sunday night.
All groups are open to individuals and families within the Mohawk Valley. For more information or any questions regarding any of the youth programs, contact the First Baptist Church at 823-3392.
