The Canajoharie Library‘s fall fundraiser is coming up this weekend.
Through the sale of baked goods, used books and donated yard sale items the library seeks to raise funds to purchase new books for the collection.
Starting on Friday, Sept. 13, and ending on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. the library will sell a variety of yard sale items.
“For the past few months we have been collecting from our patrons some really nice items for the sale. We have also cleared out our basement of unused library furniture and will have that for sale as well,” said library Director Leah LaFera in a news release.
Some of the items in the sale include musical instruments, new kitchen appliances, vinyl records, children’s toys, sports equipment, desks, chairs, craft supplies, sets of dishes, serving ware and electronics such as Wii accessories and vintage cameras.
The yard sale will take place in the town court area just outside the main entrance.
Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will be the fall used book sale in the library basement. Books, movies, music and audiobooks will be available for sale. A portion of the sales will be donated to the Fort Plain Library and victims of the flooding of the Mohawk River. The library will also collect any additional donations people are interested in making to Fort Plain.
The Canajoharie Library is located at 2 Erie Blvd., Canajoharie.
