The Oneida-Herkimer Household Hazardous Waste Facility will close for the 2013 season on Monday, Sept. 30.
Residents of Oneida and Herkimer counties may continue to deliver oil-based and latex paints, herbicides, pesticides, cleaners, chemicals and other household hazardous waste through the month of September to the facility at the end of Leland Avenue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
Electronics, televisions, computer equipment, propane cylinders (less than 100 pounds), fluorescent light bulbs and other common household items are accepted year-round.
Certain businesses may also qualify to use the facility. To obtain approval, call 733-1224, ext. 1100.
