  • The Sons of DeCarlo-Staffo Post No. 8 will host its first Fall Ethnic Feast on Saturday, Oct. 19, featuring foods from different cultures and music with local performers.
Rocco Scarano, chairperson, said the foods featured at the event will include Italian, Polish, German and American. Some of the dishes being prepared include sausage and peppers and fried meatballs; Knockwurst and potato salad; kielbasa; pork loins and low and slow smoked roast beef. The all-you-can-eat event will include smaller dishes to complement those being served at each station.
The event will also include performances by two different bands with local roots. Cleen Street - which features Carl Marucci, bank manager of the Little Falls Adirondack Bank - will perform from 1 to 4 p.m. The band performs classic rock and dance music.
Marucci will then join his daughters, Arianna Marucci and Vanessa Boyer, for a performance with Heard and the Wonder Fish from 4 to 7 p.m. Their music is contemporary mixed in with music spanning four decades.
The event will take place at the DeCarlo-Staffo Post, Loomis Street Extension, Little Falls. Tickets are $25 a person. Persons must be 21 years old or older to attend. Tickets must be purchased in advanced, before Oct. 1. No tickets will be sold at the door.
Those interested in purchasing tickets may call the post at 823-1635. Organizers may also be reached at 867-4202, 794-5854 and 823-4254.
