  • FRANKFORT — The Herkimer County Fair offered Kiddie Firematics, a free event for children. Ribbons and trophies were awarded.
    Results from Aug. 14
    Teams of five players competed to win the event. Four teams competed. Team No. 1 won the event. Team members were Abby Call, 9, of Rome, Keturah Luck, 6, of Morehouse, Damien Call, 11, of Rome, Abaigeal O’Malley, 8, of West Fulton, and Exaviar Jones, 10, of Frankfort.
    Team No. 2 players were Tomas Davis, 13, of Mohawk, James Luck, 13, of Morehouse, Marion Leskovar, 9, of Herkimer, Grace Lynn Drake, 10, of West Winfield, and Elorah Luck, 5, Mohawk.
    Team No. 3 players were Casey Elthorp, 9, of Mohawk, Amber Cumm, 13, of Mohawk, Nichola Geter, 8, of West Winfield, Dakota Saye, 8, of Westmoreland, and Luke Weber, 3, of Utica.
    Team No. 4 players were Jake Weber, 5, of Utica, Austin O’Donnell, 10, of Frankfort, Austin Brunette, 10, of Ilion, Serene O’Donnell, 14, of Frankfort and Madelynn Drake, 5, of West Winfield.
    Results from Aug. 15
    Six teams competed with team No. 3 coming out on top. Members were Jayden Devereese, 10, of Little Falls, Miles Perry, 8, of Mohawk, Chris-John Fuhs, 6, of Fort Plain, Gavin Williams, 8, of East Herkimer, and Allan Prescod, 10, of Utica.
    Team No. 1 players were Brody Pickett, 5, of Mohawk, Angelico Lester, 10, of Utica, Brady Wilcox, 10, of Dolgeville, Noah Andrea, 6, of Ilion, and Tyler Andrea, 5, of Ilion. Team No. 2 players were Tanner Zacek, 10, of Little Falls, Kendell Wilcox, 8, of Dolgeville, Brandon Scott Ayers, 5, of New Hampshire, Gunnar Deverese, 6, of Little Falls, and Matthew Prescod, 11, of Utica.
    Team 4 was made up of Jacob Fuhs, 9, of Fort Plain, Andra Fuhs, 8, of Fort Plain, Isaiah Fancett, 9, of Sauquoit, Emilie Fancett, 6, of Sauquoit, and Eric Clark, 4, of Whitesboro. Team 5 players were Jakob Machuna, 11, of California, Md., Garbriella Jones, 9, of Utica, Ashlyn Morrissey, 6, of Utica, Shayla Morrissey, 8, of Utica, and Brianna Padgett, 4, of California, Md. Team 6 players were Bailey Pickett, 3, of Colorado, Lillian Hobart, 3, of East Herkimer, Joshua Mora, 3, of Herkimer and Abaigeal O’Malley, 8, of West Fulton.
    Wayne Johnson served as superintendent of the youth events.
