  • The 41st annual Fort Klock Craft Fair will take place on Sept. 7 and 8 at the Fort Klock Historic Restoration museum complex.
    Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Nearly 100 artisans and crafters from all over the Northeast will offer their unique arts, crafts and talents. The craft fair and parking are free.
The two-day fair is noted for the diversity of only handmade items. These include folk art, jewelry, candles, pottery, knitted goods, carved and painted woodcrafts, as well as furniture, plants, floral arrangements and wreaths and paintings on stone or slate as well as other items.
There will also be food products such as culinary herbs, pies, cookies, breads, jams, Mason jar foods and other treats.
On Saturday at 11:30 a.m., Fort Klock members and friends will feature a table of homemade foods, desserts, doughnuts, cider and coffee next to the fort. Near the Dutch barn, there will be a food wagon offering hot dogs, fries, hamburgers and soda both days.
A Chinese auction tent will be filled with items donated by the crafters. The tent will be on the downhill side of the barn.
Unique items and books will be offered for sale at the fort’s gift shop. Guided tours of the Fort Klock farmhouse will be offered for a fee.
The Fort Klock craft fair is a major fundraiser for ongoing restoration projects. Fort Klock is two miles east of St. Johnsville on state Route 5.
