•The two-day event will include visits from German Belsnickel and Kristkind, horse-drawn wagon rides (1 to 4 p.m.), tours of decorated private historic homes and Santa’s Workshop in the Garden House. Costumed volunteers in the museum buildings will demonstrate the old ways of holiday preparation, and the Zoar Bakery will serve free cookies and cider.

•Holiday shoppers can find a variety of gifts among the 40 juried folk and craft artisans stationed throughout the village. •Visitors also will be treated to an array of music provided by local entertainers. Saturday’s performers include choirs from Hoover, New Philadelphia and Malvern high schools, the Trinity Ringers Bell Choir, Trinity United Church, the Trumpet Singers and local classical guitarist Denny Vlahos. On Sunday, choirs from Northwest and Tusky Valley high schools, Mixed Up Strings dulcimer group, the Black Rivers Boys and Denny Vlahos will entertain.

• Saturday will feature special activities, including a presentation of “A Christmas Carol” by historical interpreter Mark Dawidziak at 1 p.m. in the Meeting House. A live manger scene will be on display from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Meeting House, with manger animals in the Historic Zoar Garden from 1 to 4 p.m. Organ music and a candlelight service will be offered at 5:15 p.m. in the Meeting House, followed by a tree-lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. in the garden.
