Explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics.
I love my sport because it is based on the individual. I can focus on pushing myself towards my personal goal. I have always loved running and to make a sport of it is great. The teammates are always so supportive and after each race there is always the greatest feeling of accomplishment.
What is your most memorable athletic moment?
My most memorable moment was receiving my third all-star patch to be on the all-star cross country team. It was the greatest feeling after my race at leagues to know all my hard work paid off. I soon learned after I was one of the few to get three patches, which is an honor.

My hero is Jason Ray — North Carolina mascot. Google it ... he’ll be yours.
What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
It is certainly managing my time! This has always been a huge issue for me because I am in many college-level courses. Some nights I may get home from a meet at eight or nine and still have a load of homework on my hands!
What are your plans after graduating from high school?
I have still not decided but I plan on going to a liberal arts college in upstate New York. I’m very excited for my future ahead of me and I also may be interested in running cross country in college as well.
