In three sentences, explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics.
I love the feeling I get from improving at sports. I’ve come a long way from where I started and it still always feels great to make a play that I normally wouldn’t have been able to. There’s nothing I enjoy more than learning a new pitch.

What is your most memorable athletic moment?
My most memorable athletic moment was the first game I pitched back in eighth grade. I actually didn’t do very well because of my nerves and Ms. Munger had to pull me, but she gave me another chance the next game and I got over my nerves and we won.

Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why
My sister, Katie, always inspired me in sports. I always thought that she was awesome and wanted to be able to play like she could. It’s always felt a little like I’m following in her footsteps because we play some of the same positions. She’s always given me advice and helped me to get better.

What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
The biggest challenge I’ve faced balancing academics and sports has just been time. It’s been hard to fit schoolwork and athletics into the same day and especially during the spring it has been hard to find enough time to study.

What are your plans after graduating from high school?
I am going to be attending Colgate University in the fall and studying Biology.
