Explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics.
Being an athlete has allowed me to channel my competitive spirit and set goals for myself which I believe will assist me to a bright future. As I think about my athletic career, I can say that I have been fortunate to have established many great memories with many athletes. The bond that one makes with their teammates, is an experience that cannot be forgotten.
What is your most memorable athletic moment?
It was during a field hockey game against Mount Markham in Little Falls, I was dribbling the ball towards the cage. I had some defensive players coming at me so I knew I had to take a shot on goal. My angle was not very good. I drove the ball toward the goal cage anyways. In it went! No one including myself could believe that the ball, despite the angle, made it into the cage and scored.
Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why
Johnny Flynn has been an inspiration for me. Despite his size, his love for the game of basketball has carried him to the top.
What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
Being prepared and using my time wisely has allowed me to succeed both academically and athletically.
What are your plans after graduating from high school?
Go to college and play field hockey!
