In three sentences, explain what you enjoy most about your sport and athletics
What I enjoy most about Basketball is the fact that it’s an up-tempo style game. There is rarely a time when you can slow down and take it easy. The adrenaline just takes over you and you never want to stop or give in.

What is your most memorable athletic moment?
My most memorable athletic moment would have to be my junior year of field hockey. We played Sauquoit in the quarter-final game under the lights at Sauquoit. We went into overtime twice and eventually into strokes. We ended up winning the game and I just remember being totally exhausted and drained after the game. I don’t think we finished playing until about 10 p.m. You just don’t forget a game like that. Also, my junior year of softball we beat our long time rivals, Adirondack twice in regular season. Beating them in Adirondack was the best because we came back in the 5th inning and ended up winning by 1 at their field.

Tell us about someone who inspires you in sports and why
For me, my Aunt Monica inspires me the most. Because she’s my aunt, I’ve always looked up to her anyway but the fact that she was my field hockey coach, athletic director and a physical education teacher really makes us that much closer and is my role model.

What are your greatest challenges balancing academics and sports?
I think the biggest challenge for any student-athlete is time management. No body wants to go home after a long day of school, followed by practice and study or do tons of homework but you have to also realize you’ve made a commitment to the sport and your team and you should strive to become the best student or athlete you can be.

What are your plans after graduating from high school?
Attend HCCC to major in Physical Education and play Softball and Basketball.
