MOHAWK — Members of the Herkimer County Humane Society Board of Directors hope with the conclusion of a recent dog abuse case stricter laws will soon be passed for animal cruelty.“The one sad truth that has become apparent from this experience is the fact that the animal abuse laws in New York state need to be revised,” the board of directors stated in an April 12 news release.
